Every Friday, Red Folders will go home with your child containing some of their work from the week. Nap Rolls will also go home on Fridays to be washed. Please return both on Monday. Thank you!

Our Back-to-School Open House will take place after regular pick-up time. We can’t wait to welcome you into our classroom and share more of our Ruby experience with you! ✨
☀️ Weekly Theme: Sun & Shadows
We are officially saying goodbye to summer… although here in Texas, it definitely doesn’t feel like it yet!
This week, we will explore the Sun and Shadows through curiosity, play, and observation. We’ll talk about the importance and benefits of sunlight for our planet and all living things, while also having fun discovering the different shadows created by sunlight and light.
We’ll be observing, experimenting, moving, and playing with light and shadows as we explore the world around us!

Weekly Note - Welcome to Ruby Class 2026–2027!
We are so excited to begin our second week together! As we continue getting to know one another, settling into our routines, and finding our rhythm as a classroom community, we are also getting ready to officially begin our weekly themes.
It has been so sweet watching the children become more comfortable, build connections, and discover that Ruby is a place where they can feel safe, curious, and happy. We are looking forward to another beautiful week together!

💕 Weekly Theme: Welcome Week
During our Welcome Week, we’ll focus on getting to know one another, welcoming our new friends into the Ruby family, and building connections as we learn and practice our classroom routines and agreements.
We’ll also enjoy a fun watercolor name-tag activity and lots of opportunities to explore, play, and feel comfortable in our classroom.
We’re so excited to welcome all of our Ruby friends and families and begin this beautiful year together!
