Amanda Kinney is a native Texan who grew up in a family of teachers. She discovered her own passion for teaching after a service trip to Ghana, West Africa in 2008. While in Accra, Amanda volunteered in orphanages, and it became clear to her that inspiring the next generation would make an impact – and she has been in the classroom ever since. Her passions include yoga, painting, singing and playing her guitar, cooking with her daughters Tula and Genevieve, and hiking with her dog Apollo.
