Cheryl Blosser
Mentor - Sapphire Class
Cheryl knew from the age of 6 that she wanted to be a teacher, just like her mother, who was an incredible kindergarten teacher and single mother to six children. Cheryl’s passion in teaching is to help learners develop their life-long love of learning.
Cheryl has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education K-8 and a B.S. degree in Early Childhood/Child and Family Development from the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. She’s also been a Preschool Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher, Reading Specialist, Parent Educator, and career Substitute Teacher in pre-K through 8th grades in private and public schools in Florida, Texas, Missouri and Illinois.
Her teaching passion extends beyond the traditional school setting and has led her to teach quilting and sewing to both children and adults at a local quilt shop and at various camps, including Camp Indigo. She also worked during the inaugural year as a Lead Thinker and Spring Camp Lead Teacher at the Thinkery, Austin’s children museum.
Cheryl has worked at WLLC since 2015 and has worn many hats at the school, including her current role as the Sapphire Mentor.
She is a proud mom to three children who are now adults; Alison, Annie, and Tommy.
