Dana graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a BA in Media Arts and Theatre, then moved to Austin where she worked in the film and video industry for several years, producing and coordinating both locally and nationally.

An artist at heart, Dana has always had a passion for crafting and creating. When her first child began attending Whole Life Learning Center, she had the opportunity to bring her craft skills to the classroom, offering a handwork/nature craft class with the Rubies, which expanded into multiple disciplines across several classes and then full-time with the Ruby class.

Dana’s love of art and design brings a blend of art, beauty, nature, and sustainability into the Ruby classroom. She enjoys traveling, crafting, hiking, yoga, and spending time with her family and friends.
